Excessive Sweating

Hyperhidrosis is a condition that causes excessive sweating across the body; with feet, armpits, and the facial area being most commonly affected. Injections of the well know anti-wrinkle agent can easily manage the condition, with regular treatments to the affected area staving off excessive sweating.

Why You Might Need Hyperhidrosis Treatment

Excessive sweating can be embarrassing for anyone suffering from the condition and can ultimately diminish confidence. If you are prone to excessive sweating, then hyperhidrosis treatment will ensure you do not have to worry about body odour.

What Does Hyperhidrosis Treatment Involve?

A surgeon will inject into the affected areas; blocking the nerves that supply the eccrine glands - which then prevents the glands from producing excessive sweat.

The procedure can be performed under a local anaesthetic, which is recommended when applying the well known anti-wrinkle injection into sensitive areas such as hands and feet (as this can be particularly painful otherwise) and takes between 30-45 minutes to complete.

It is not a permanent cure for hyperhidrosis; providing only temporary relief, and injections can only be applied to small areas. Treatment should be repeated every three to six months to maintain the effects of the procedure.

Recovery

Patients are not required to make any special arrangements after undergoing hyperhidrosis treatment and are able to return to normal activities within a couple of hours.
