Following a breast cancer misdiagnosis, Helen decided to undergo a preventative double mastectomy followed by immediate reconstruction after being told by doctors that she had a genetic predisposition to breast cancer.
In 2005 after an unprovoked acid assault in Kenya which left Sundeep Hunjan unable to blink, she was brought to The McIndoe Centre for reconstructive burns and ophthalmic treatment.
At 26, Vikki was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS). Vikki made the brave decision to undergo a double mastectomy using her thigh tissue and was thrilled with the end result.
