Mr Bisase specialises in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery and head and neck surgical oncology.
Head and neck (H&N) cancer ablation and reconstruction including micro-vascular surgery. This includes cancer of the face and jaws, oral cavity and pharynx, skin and salivary glands. He also has a special interest and practice in surgical dermatology (H&N skin cancer) and is a member of the post Mohs surgery reconstructive team. As such, he is a member of the both the H&N oncology and skin cancer multidisciplinary teams covering Sussex and West Kent. He also undertakes all aspect of salivary gland surgery, maxillofacial trauma.

Mr Brian Bisase graduated in dentistry and medicine from the University of London, where he was awarded the Newland Pedley Medal and Scholarship. After completing his surgical training, Mr Bisase undertook higher training in oral and maxillofacial surgery over a five year period, working across the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, Guys and Kings College Hospitals in London and presently at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead.
He was awarded the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Gold Medal for his top performance in the maxillofacial surgery FRCS examination. He undertook further specialist training in Toronto, Canada and at the Royal Marsden Hospital where he developed experience in thyroid, anterior skill base and sarcoma surgery, laryngo-pharyngeal reconstruction and advanced reconstruction of the complex defect.

In addition to his clinical work, he devotes time to research (Lead H&N research at Queen Victoria Hospital) and has presented his own clinical research projects worldwide of which many are published in peer reviewed journals. He is the Principle Investigator for two major national portfolio multi centre trials and co-investigator in one. He also has a special interest in surgical outcomes and is lead for H&N surgery outcomes at the Queen Victoria Hospital. He is devoted to teaching and professional training in his NHS work and is on the team for surgical safety strategies.
His external interests and hobbies include track racing, target and scoped rifle shooting.
