Mr Damian Lake is a Consultant Ophthalmologist, Corneal and Refractive Surgeon. He is accredited in all aspects of eye care but specialises in Corneal transplantation, Cataract and Laser Refractive surgery, Stem cell surgery and reconstruction of damaged eyes.
After graduating in Medicine and Surgery from The University of Glasgow, Mr Lake completed Ophthalmic surgical training in London before completing two Corneal fellowship positions, first at Moorfields Hospital and then at The Queen Victoria Hospital East Grinstead, where he was subsequently appointed as a Consultant and Medical advisor to the Eye Bank.
Mr Lake is a Fellow of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists, member of The American Academy of Ophthalmologists,United Kingdom and Ireland Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, The Cornea Society and Chairman of the Ocular tissue and Transplantation Standards Group of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
