Paul Banwell is a Plastic & Cosmetic Surgeon based in the South East of England. Paul has developed an international reputation in the fields of cosmetic surgery, skin health and skin cancer and lectures worldwide on these subjects. He has published extensively including several books (including an Amazon bestseller in female genital surgery), run a research unit and is a Visiting Professor of Plastic Surgery to Harvard Medical School. He has been listed in the Times Magazine as one of the UK’s Top 100 Doctors and his work recognised by Tatler magazine.
Paul specialises in cosmetic breast surgery, fat grafting, tummy tucks, labiaplasty, liposuction as well as facial aesthetics. He also performs cutting-edge Kerastem hair restoration treatments and female rejuvenation research. Mr Banwell has also pioneered some of the latest concepts in skin health and chemical peels and is an acknowledged expert in cosmeceuticals as well as being the Founder and Director of The Banwell Clinic and TBC Skin Atelier.
He is also the Founder and former Head of The Melanoma and Skin Cancer Unit (MASCU) in East Grinstead and served as the Medical Ambassador to a National Melanoma charity for many years; he is now the Lead Plastic Surgeon for the Sussex Community Dermatology Service and a large proportion of his practice is dealing with mole checks, mole removals and skin cancer treatments. He is recognised by all the major insurance companies in the UK.
Paul often appears in the media and is a favourite with the Beauty Magazine Editors and recently toured Australia with the Editors of Vogue & Marie Claire. Paul is a full member of the British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).
In his leisure time, Paul collects modern art & Japanese swords and enjoys garden design, surfing, skiing and martial arts.
