Mr. Tselentakis has built an admirable reputation as a highly qualified Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon. His noteworthy credentials include posts at East Surrey University Hospital as the Orthopaedic Lead Clinician and as Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
After qualifying in Greece, Mr. Tselentakis pursued his career in London. After passing his FRCS exam he undertook research which was awarded a PHD at Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry.
Mr. Tselentakis then completed his higher training in Manchester, whilst also concluding a prestigious knee fellowship in 2001 at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr. Tselentakis include:
- Partial/total total knee replacements and complex revision surgery
- Ligament reconstruction (ACL, PCL, multiple ligaments)
- Meniscal surgery
- Cartilage regeneration procedures such as microfracture, autologous chondrocyte implantation, chondrotissue as well as autologous cellular treatments with PRP injections etc.
On top of his busy practice, Mr. Tselentakis has presented nationally and internationally, with a number of publications in scientific journals and authored book chapters. He is also responsible for the education of future consultants and doctors under his Knee Fellowship Program.
