Struggling with sore and painful joints? Problems with the knees, feet, and ankles can have a significant impact on your quality of life.

If you feel as though your joint problems are leaving you behind, surgery may be required to get you back up on your feet. As well as expert diagnosis, we offer a broad range of treatments for knee, foot and ankle problems here at The McIndoe Centre. Arthroscopy, meniscal repair and ACL reconstruction are just a few of the services that we can offer you.

Why might you need knee, foot and ankle surgery?

Knee, foot and ankle surgery may be required for those who are suffering from painful joint problems on a daily basis. Living with sore joints can be debilitating, but surgery can help to diagnose and treat the underlying cause of the pain.

What are the benefits of knee, foot and ankle surgery?

Living with constant pain can be tiring, demotivating and draining – surgery can help get the pain back under control.

Some of the benefits of knee, foot and ankle surgery include:

  • Reducing pain and soreness in the affected joint
  • Increased ease of movement
  • Diagnosis and treatment of underlying health issues

What does knee, foot and ankle surgery involve?

The surgical procedure that you undergo will be dependent on the particular problem and which joint is affected. The process will begin with a diagnosis of your injuries and an expert assessment of your unique case. The surgical services and procedures that we offer include:

  • Arthroscopy
  • Meniscal repair
  • Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction
  • Accelerated repair
  • Foot and ankle surgery

Your surgeon will discuss your individual case and the best treatment options available for you during your consultation.

Recovery Time

Recovery time can vary greatly depending on the type of procedure that you undergo. For an arthroscopy, you should expect a few weeks before you are back to your old self. However, for more invasive procedures such as ACL reconstruction, recovery time is usually six to nine months.

Treatment Cost

If you decide to have treatment with The McIndoe Centre, we can arrange an initial consultation with a medical professional at a time to suit you. The cost of surgery will vary, depending on your individual case and the specific procedure that you choose.
