As one of the few female plastic surgeons in the UK, Elena brings a distinctly feminine perspective to her work. Her deep understanding of the physical and emotional concerns experienced by women undergoing cosmetic or reconstructive surgery give her an empathy that makes all the difference for many patients. She is a Patron of Keeping Abreast- a breast cancer reconstruction support group and dedicates her free time to educating and supporting woman who have suffered from breast cancer.
As well as using some of the most cutting edge techniques in the world, Elena’s association with the best private hospitals, combined with her team’s exemplary aftercare and customer service make her clinic a popular choice.
After completing eight years of training in plastic and reconstructive surgery, Elena successfully undertook a prestigious three year Fellowship in Microsurgical Breast Reconstruction and Breast Oncoplastic Surgery. This fellowship took her to Guys and St Thomas London, Manchester University Hospital, Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford and world-renowned Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead.
This was followed by a further nine months of fellowships abroad, in a number of world renowned centres, including: The University Hospital in Ghent (Belgium), Sant Pau Hospital in Barcelona (Spain), Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore (India), The European Institute of Oncology in Milan (Italy) and The University Hospital in Tokyo (Japan), where she learnt about the latest, international advances in Plastic Surgery.
