Mr Hasan Naveed

Mr Hasan Naveed (MBBS, BSc, FRCOphth, CertLRS) is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, with a specialist interest in comprehensive anterior segment care, including cataract, cornea, glaucoma and refractive surgery.

He graduated from St George’s, University of London in 2014, and subsequently embarked on the Academic Foundation Programme in the Northwest Thames Deanery. He then completed the Royal College of Ophthalmologists accredited Ophthalmic Specialist Training Programme across the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery. His further specialisation interest led him to pursue an advanced fellowship in keratorefractive and anterior segment surgery at the Corneoplastic Unit, Queen Victoria Hospital.

His practice is patient-centred and evidence-based with a strong emphasis on safety and innovation. He offers personalised ophthalmic care, advanced cataract surgery with premium lenses, corneal transplantation, laser and refractive vision correction, and glaucoma care

Mr Naveed is dedicated to advancing modern ophthalmic care through precision, evidence, and a patient-centred approach. He has a particular interest in the use of technology to improve visual outcomes, and regularly attends various international and national scientific meetings to keep up to date with the latest evidence and technological advancements in the field.

He has a passion for research and innovation: authoring over 30 peer-reviewed publications, and has won several awards throughout his training. His research and service improvement projects have been recognised with several awards, including the HSJ Patient Safety Award and the NIHR ARC Commendation.

Alongside his clinical work, Mr Naveed contributes actively to education and leadership within ophthalmology. He has previously served as a Council Member, Trustee Board Member and Chair of the Ophthalmologists in Training Group at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He presently serves as a Council Member of the British Society for Refractive Surgery, and is also on the Editorial Board of the Eye Journal. He actively examines for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He enjoys teaching and mentoring and has helped to design and deliver surgical training courses for doctors internationally and nationally.
