Women's Health

Regular blood screening is essential for maintaining your health and detecting potential issues early. Our private Women's Health Blood Test service at The McIndoe Centre offers a thorough, convenient and confidential health check.

Why Choose A Private Blood Test At The McIndoe Centre

Our comprehensive blood testing offers accurate insights into your health. With expert GP review and fast results, we provide a trusted alternative to NHS testing, helping you take control of your wellbeing with confidence.

What's Included in the Private Blood Test?

We test your liver and kidney function, assess your thyroid (including TSH, TS3 and T4), and carry out a full blood count. The screening also checks for type 2 diabetes using the HbA1c marker and includes a full cholesterol profile. To support your overall wellbeing, we assess key vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, folate and ferritin.

Your blood sample is analysed at a UK-accredited lab, and once results are available, a private GP will call you to explain the findings and recommend any necessary next steps.

Symptoms This Blood Test Can Help Investigate

This comprehensive blood test can provide valuable insights if you’re experiencing persistent fatigue, unexplained weight changes, frequent infections, mood fluctuations or digestive issues. It is also helpful for those showing symptoms of thyroid imbalance, such as sensitivity to cold, hair thinning or irregular heartbeat. By checking key markers, the test can help identify underlying causes that might be affecting your overall health.

Understanding Your Results

If your results fall within the normal range, this usually indicates good overall health. However, if symptoms persist or worsen, further medical advice may be needed.

If any markers are outside the normal range, such as vitamin deficiencies, thyroid irregularities, or signs of diabetes, a private GP will contact you to explain the findings and recommend next steps, which may include lifestyle changes, further testing, or specialist referrals.

Remember, abnormal results do not always indicate serious illness, but they do provide important clues to help manage your health proactively.
