Miss Nenova has completed two specialist fellowships: the world-renown Orbital and Oculoplastic surgery fellowship at Naples Medical University with Prof Bonovolonta. Two years medical retina fellowship at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne and continued her training in Oculoplastic surgery.
Medical retina conditions are chronic conditions, major cause for blindness, requiring long-term treatment and follow-up. Miss Nenova brings innovation in Medical retina care to the UK to help treat Macular degeneration, Diabetic retinopathy, Vein occlusions, Uveitis, etc. patients with safer and more effective treatments. She has participated in several multicentered international trials looking at the efficacy of the latest treatments available for Medical retina conditions as well as laser treatment, the outcomes of which have been published in a high impact Ophthalmological journals.
Patients appreciate Miss Nenova’s gentle and empathetic approach. She takes the time to explain the diagnosis to her patients so they understand their condition and why they need to take their treatment. Treatment plans are carried out with patients involved in all decisions concerning their ophthalmic condition.
Miss Nenova has extensive training and experience in small incision cataract surgery, performed under local or general anaesthetic. She does combined treatment for patients with medical retina conditions who need cataract surgery
As well as her private post at The McIndoe Centre, Miss Nenova is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and Lead Clinician for the Eye emergency at the Eye Unit in East Surrey Hospital.
