Miss Anita Hazari

Miss Hazari performs a range of procedures at The McIndoe Centre specialising in breast surgery (cosmetic), male breast reduction (gynaecomastia), body contouring (abdominoplasty and liposuction) including weight loss surgery (brachioplasty and thigh lifts), labial reduction, and non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedures.  

As one of the few female plastic surgeons in the UK, she encourages women to look more “natural” and be comfortable and confident in how they look and ensures that they are fully informed before proceeding with surgery.  Her patients appreciate her honest, caring and straightforward manner.  

Anita has been a Consultant NHS Plastic Surgeon at the world-famous Queen Victoria Hospital (QVH) NHS Trust since 2006 and is a member of BAPRAS, BAAPS and ABS. After being the Breast Oncoplastics Lead for QVH (2008-2012), bringing about policy changes such as screening mammogram in breast reduction patients pre-operatively, Anita represented the South East as a BAPRAS Council member 2013-15. She was the National Lead (2015-20) for the cross-speciality UK National Flap Registry (UKNFR) a collaboration between five surgical speciality associations and produced its first report with over 5,000 cases in December 2019.  

Anita was the Chair of Plastic Surgery at JCIE (Joint Committee on Intercollegiate Examinations) for FRCS(Plast) examinations (2020-23). She is currently JCIE (IQA) Chair for all 10 surgical specialties. Anita has also recently been appointed as Specialist Advisor in Breast Surgery at the CQC (Care Quality Commission). 

Anita was appointed a Hunterian Professor by The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1999 for her research work in nerve regeneration.
