Professional profile

Miss Hazari performs a range of procedures at The McIndoe Centre specialising in breast surgery (cosmetic), male breast reduction (gynaecomastia), body contouring (abdominoplasty and liposuction) including weight loss surgery (brachioplasty and thigh lifts), labial reduction, and non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedures.

As one of the few female plastic surgeons in the UK, she encourages women to look more “natural” and be comfortable and confident in how they look and ensures that they are fully informed before proceeding with surgery.  Her patients appreciate her honest, caring and straightforward manner.

Anita was the Plastics Breast Lead for the Kent Cancer network 2009-2012 and helped to formulate the breast reconstruction pathway and the policy for screening mammograms prior to breast reduction surgery.

Anita has been a consultant NHS Plastic Surgeon at the world-famous Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Trust since 2006 and is a member of BAPRAS and BAAPS. She is on the BAPRAS council and was the UK Audit Lead for the UK National Flap Registry (2015-2019).

Anita is a member of the faculty of examiners for the Inter Collegiate Examinations in Plastic Surgery (2020-2023).

Anita was appointed a Hunterian Professor by The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1999 for her research work in nerve regeneration.
